I understand what you are saying Al, but at what point would you say people should start to use flexbox, or any other new CSS feature?
If we wait until a CSS module becomes a standard from the w3c, and are supported by all browsers without vendor prefix, before we use them then it will be at least another 10 years before any can be used.
Also don't forget it was 2009 before CSS 2.1 became a w3c standard.
